The Agency Playbook
The way we run a web agency, written down.
The free posts cover the strategy. This is the part they leave out: the exact configuration, the builds recorded end to end, and the files we work from.
No income claims
We make no claims about what you will earn. There are no income figures on this page, no results tables, no student outcomes and no testimonials, because nobody has bought this yet.
The prices are further down, all three of them, in full. Checkout is not open, so the button below joins a waitlist and does nothing else.
The strategy is everywhere. The configuration is not.
You can read a hundred posts about starting a web agency and still not know what a real project looks like from the inside. The advice stops one level above the work, which is the level where the work actually is.
- What the intake asks, and what you do with the answers once you have them.
- How a scope gets written so the build has a finish line, and the client agrees where it is.
- Which prompt produces something a client will accept, and which one produces a draft you throw away.
- What gets checked before a site goes live, in what order, and against what.
- Where the work stops. What you say no to, in writing, before anything starts.
None of that is secret. It is tedious to reconstruct, and most of what gets published skips it, because describing a tool takes an afternoon and describing a process takes a month.
This comes out of a working shop.
NovraScale is a managed service provider. We run client websites, Google profiles, analytics and domains, and we are accountable for them when something breaks at seven in the morning. The method here is the one that work runs on. accpcfl.org, maxxcityrealty.luxe, 211beachside.com, newleafaprn.com and theatticmonkeys.com are live sites we built and still operate.
The part worth knowing is the repository. This agency runs out of one monorepo with its rules, its agent definitions and its automated checks committed beside the code, which is the only reason the method can be written down at all. A process that lives in somebody’s head cannot be handed to anyone.
Those five sites show that we build and run client work. They do not show that you will. That is a different claim, we are not making it, and it is why client work appears once on this page, here, and nowhere near the prices.
What you can do with it.
- Set the toolchain up once and know why each piece is there, instead of collecting subscriptions and hoping.
- Run an intake that ends in a scope you can build against.
- Write the rule files and agent definitions that keep an AI-assisted build consistent from the first page to the last.
- Take a project from first message to launch on a fixed sequence, rather than reinventing the order every time.
- Put the boundary of the work in writing before it starts, so a change request is a conversation instead of an argument.
You open every account, and you own every account.
There is no NovraScale login sitting in the middle of any of this. You register the domain, you open the hosting account, you subscribe to each tool in your own name, and you pay every vendor directly. We never hold a credential of yours and nothing here builds a dependency on us.
Clients own every account from day one too. The difference is that we hold their credentials so we can run the estate, and here you hold your own.
Three prices, all of them listed.
One payment, once, at every tier. The figure you see is the whole figure: no setup fee, no separate access charge, no recurring charge from us, and nothing further to buy from us afterwards. The tools the method runs on are a separate cost, paid to those vendors, and the terms below say so.
The written method
$149one time
The method in writing: how a project is set up, scoped, built and shipped, in the order the steps actually run.
Included
- The written playbook, start to finish: how the shop is set up, how a project is scoped, and how it runs from first message to launch.
- The configuration itself. The prompts, the agent definitions, the editor settings and the rule files, written out with the reasoning behind each one.
- The sequence. Every step in the order it runs, so the method reads as a process rather than a pile of tools.
Not included
- No fillable files. The artifacts are shown and explained, not handed over.
- No updates after you buy. What you read is the method as it stood that day.
- No recordings. Every step is described in writing.
The method, shown
$297one time
Everything written down, plus the same work recorded end to end, for the steps that are faster to watch than to read.
Included
- Everything in the written method.
- The builds on screen, end to end and at the pace they run, so a step that reads ambiguously gets watched once instead of re-derived.
Not included
- No fillable files. Still shown and explained, not handed over.
- No updates after you buy. What you get is the method as it stood that day.
Where the files are
The working stack
$497one time
Everything above, plus the files themselves, kept current for a year. This is the tier that hands over working artifacts instead of describing them.
Included
- Everything in the written method and the recorded builds.
- The operating files. The intake checklist, the scoping worksheet, the project rule files and the agent definitions, in the format they are used in, ready to fill in.
- Twelve months of updates. When our own stack changes, these files change with it, and you get the current version rather than the one that shipped the day you bought.
- The tool list, with the setup for each account. You open every one of them yourself and you own every one of them.
Not included
- No service agreement and no proposal template. Those are legal documents, and supplying them is not something we will do.
- No done-for-you work. You do the building.
- No updates past the twelve months. The files keep working; they stop changing.
- One payment, once. No subscription, no renewal, and no payment plan.
- No coaching, no calls, no community, and no support hours.
The terms, in plain English.
- There is no refund policy, because there is nothing to refund.
- Nothing on this page can be bought today. Refund terms get written when checkout is built, and they will be published before a single payment is taken. We would rather publish nothing here than publish a promise we cannot honor.
- This is not legal or tax advice.
- NovraScale does not form your company and does not advise on entity selection. Talk to an attorney licensed in your state. The free post on agency structure says the same thing, and says what is worth asking.
- One payment, once.
- No subscription, no trial that turns into a charge, and no installment plan. Buying a lower tier does not enroll you in anything.
- The tools are a separate, recurring cost.
- The method runs on hosting, an inbox and an AI subscription, and you pay each of those vendors directly, every month, for as long as you use them. None of it is billed by us and none of it is included in the figure above. The free post on startup cost itemizes every one of them against the vendor’s own pricing page, before you spend anything here.
What this page can show, and what it cannot.
The free posts are the sample. Every checkable figure in them links to the statute, the filing office, or the vendor’s own pricing page, and a claim that could not be sourced was cut rather than softened. Read three of them and you will know how the paid material is written, because the same people write it to the same rule.
There are no student results here and there will be no invented ones. Nobody has bought this. The FTC requires that an endorsement reflect what buyers typically experience, and there is no buyer population to describe. A “results not typical” line underneath would not fix that, and has not been treated as fixing it since 2009.
So the honest split is this. Proven: we build and run the five sites named above. Not proven: that reading this produces any particular result for you. Those are separate claims, and only the first one is ours to make.
The questions worth asking.
If this works, why sell it instead of just doing it?
Because they are two businesses with two different constraints, and the real answer is not especially flattering to either.
Agency work is bounded by hours. Every managed client takes real ongoing time, every week, for as long as they stay, so the roster grows slowly and on purpose. Writing the method down costs a fixed amount of time once and then stops consuming delivery capacity. Those are not the same shape of business, and running one does not stop us running the other. We are still doing the agency work: it is the reason there is anything to write down.
The second reason is plainer. Somebody who wants to run their own shop was never going to hire us, so the posts they read are traffic we cannot sell a managed engagement to. This is what that traffic is worth instead. Nothing here was taken off a client to make it.
What do I get that is not in the free posts?
Three things, and they separate cleanly, which is why there are three prices rather than one.
- The exact how. The posts describe the approach and name the tools. The written method carries the actual prompts, agent definitions, editor settings and rule files, with the reasoning behind each and the order they run in.
- The artifacts, kept current. The top tier hands over the intake checklist, the scoping worksheet, the project rule files and the agent definitions as files, in the format they are used in, plus twelve months of updates as our own stack changes. The posts show them. The top tier gives them to you and then keeps them from going stale.
- Time compression. The recordings exist so a step that reads ambiguously gets watched once instead of reconstructed by trial.
If you would rather rebuild all of it from the free posts, that is a real option, and it is why the posts stay free.
When can I actually buy this?
You cannot, and not today. There is no checkout on this site for this product. Every button on this page joins a waitlist, and that is the whole of what they do.
The prices above are the prices we intend to charge, published now so that nobody meets them for the first time on a payment screen. When checkout opens, the list gets one email. Joining does not hold a place, does not change what you pay, and commits you to nothing.
If you want the material sooner, the posts are already published and already free.
Is this a repackaged course?
It is a written method and a set of files. The table above lists what is in each tier and what is not, line by line. There is no cohort, no community, no calls, no coaching hours, and nothing sold to you afterwards. If the list for a tier does not describe something you would use, do not put yourself on the list for it.
Join the waitlist.
One email when checkout opens. Tell us which tier you are looking at and we will know what to build first.
